HKLA is excited to share that we were retained by the Town of Innisfil to lead the design and implementation of Blackmore Park, a new community park that transforms an underutilized open space into a vibrant recreational destination. The design integrates accessible pedestrian connections, flexible gathering areas, nature-based play opportunities, fitness elements, seating areas, and a variety of passive recreation experiences. A central trail network connects visitors through the site while creating opportunities to engage with the park’s natural features and surrounding neighbourhood.

The landscape design emphasizes environmental stewardship and long-term sustainability through extensive native planting, naturalization areas, pollinator-friendly species, and meadow restoration. The park incorporates a diverse range of amenities including a bocce court, fitness equipment, hammock areas, seating terraces, wood deck platforms, interpretive natural play features, and shaded gathering spaces. HKLA is providing full landscape architectural services from early design development through detailed design and construction administration, working closely with municipal staff and the consultant team to guide the project toward successful completion.
