The 1226 King Street East project features a 3-storey residential development located in Oshawa, Ontario. HKLA provided landscape architectural design, planting design, site furnishings, accessibility improvements, and restoration planning to support the property’s enhancement and long-term functionality. The landscape scope included new tree and shrub plantings, naturalized restoration areas, pedestrian amenities, bike parking, accessible parking features, fencing, and hardscape improvements.

The design focused on improving site aesthetics, accessibility, and environmental performance through the introduction of diverse plantings, a native restoration area along the back of the property, and enhanced pedestrian infrastructure. HKLA coordinated the preparation of detailed construction documents and tender drawings to support project implementation and ensure compliance with municipal requirements.
